In halls of power where memos fly,
And policies are born,
You walk with purpose in your eye,
A director, yet not worn, not proud.
Business-minded, sharp and keen,
You chart the nation’s course;
A Federal hand, a vision clean,
Backed by will and force.
Friends encircle, laughter rings,
Drawn to light you bear.
A jolly good fellow whom joy still clings,
Generous beyond compare.
A Josite, yes, from Plateau’s height,
Where air is thin and clear;
You carry home in every fight,
Its courage, cool, sincere.
Yet East still calls within your chest,
The Igbo sense runs deep;
‘Onye nwere mmadụ ka onye nwere ego’ —
Your wealth is friends you keep.
Gallant man, with steady stride,
No storm can make you bend.
Duty first, yet friends beside,
You’re leader, kin, and friend.
You’re a pirate by your creed and code,
Not blade, but brotherhood;
You sail with those who bear the load,
And anchor where it should.
Your compass points to common good,
Your flag to loyalty.
You plunder doubt, you share the food,
That’s pirate chivalry.
So here’s to you, on cadre high,
With comrades at your flank:
May profit, service, both comply,
And honour swell your bank.
For Nigeria leans on men like you,
Who serve and still can smile.
