In the dynamic political landscape of Ofu Local Government and the wider Kogi East structure, only a few individuals can predict political movements before they become reality. One of those strategists is Mr Abraham Nuhu, popularly known as Euphony of Okabo.
Euphony is more than a grassroots politician. He is a tactician, mobiliser and strategist whose influence continues to shape the direction of Ofu politics. Through consistency, calculated alliances and a deep understanding of grassroots mobilisation, he has earned the respect of party loyalists, stakeholders, youths and political actors across the constituency.
About a year ago, Mr Nuhu aligned with the All Progressives Congress (APC), a move that strengthened his standing within the progressive political family. His decision was not a routine defection, but a calculated alignment driven by vision, conviction and a commitment to the advancement of the constituency.
Before that, he demonstrated strong political leadership under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) structure led by Hon Leke Abejide. Under his guidance and mentorship, I was appointed ward chairman. That relationship laid the foundation for my understanding of grassroots mobilisation and political organisation.
At another critical moment in Lokoja, Euphony invited me and my brother, Lawal, for a strategic meeting. During our discussion, he said we would meet a man named Uchola. With confidence, he declared:
“Uchola is the next House of Representatives member to represent Idah, Ibaji, Igalamela and Ofu Federal Constituency.”
That statement reflected the mindset of someone who understands political arithmetic, electoral structures and the direction of the constituency. Shortly after, Uchola arrived as projected, reinforcing Euphony’s reputation for political foresight.
In a separate discussion, Mr Nuhu advised me to work closely with Hon Isah Emeje and join his media structure. He described Hon Emeje as a strong political project that deserved support, visibility and grassroots promotion. Political developments since then have increasingly aligned with that assessment, showing once again that Euphony possesses uncommon political instincts and leadership foresight.
Without exaggeration, Abraham Nuhu, known as Euphony, has established himself as one of the strongest political minds in Ofu politics. He identifies potential long before others recognise it. Like Joseph in the Bible who interpreted dreams with wisdom and accuracy, Euphony interprets political seasons with clarity, strategy and precision.
Within the political corridors of Ofu and beyond, his name continues to resonate as a symbol of political intelligence, grassroots coordination, coalition building and progressive leadership.
Indeed, the future of Ofu politics belongs to visionary leaders with courage, strategic direction and the capacity to unite people. Abraham Nuhu “Euphony” remains one of the leading navigators shaping that future.
