Chiamaka Nnadozie Shines in Brighton’s WSL Win Against Everton

By Danjuma Amodu | January 23, 2026

Nigerian international goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie was instrumental in Brighton’s victory against Everton in the Women’s Super League (WSL), earning the Player of the Match award. She kept a clean sheet and made two crucial saves to secure the win away from home.

Nnadozie, who joined Brighton from Paris FC in July 2025, has been in top form this season with 44 saves in 10 matches and four clean sheets – the joint second-most this season, just one behind Chelsea’s goalkeeper. Her impressive performances have made her a key player for Brighton, and her experience in European competitions, including 16 UEFA Women’s Champions League appearances for Paris FC, has been invaluable.

A three-time CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year (2023-2025), WAFCON Goalkeeper of the Tournament (2024), and Best Goalkeeper at the 2025 CAF Awards, Nnadozie brings a wealth of experience and accolades to Brighton. Manager Dario Vidosic praised her commanding presence and experience, saying, “She’s a talented and commanding goalkeeper who will bring consistency and confidence to our defensive line.”
