Edo Governor Surprises Staff with Brand New SUVs for Outstanding Service

Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has rewarded three outstanding Government House staff with brand new SUVs in recognition of their discipline, commitment, and dedication to service.

The presentation took place at the Government House in Benin City, reflecting the Governor’s belief in celebrating public servants who demonstrate excellence.

Governor Okpebholo disclosed this on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, saying, “I decided to surprise some of our hardworking Government House staff today. ‘When you serve Edo State with discipline, commitment, and integrity, someone is watching,'” encouraging all to keep giving their best. He added,

“This is my little way of saying thank you and encouraging everyone to keep giving their best.”

The beneficiaries, from the Protocol and ICT units, were caught off guard as the Governor tested their commitment by pretending to delay, but none left early. Expressing gratitude, they described the gesture as motivating and inspiring.

Ojo Evans, in a separate tweet, said, “Hard work pays, in Edo State today, dedication is no longer unnoticed.”

The Governor’s administration values consistency, loyalty, and excellence and will continue to reward outstanding service, setting a tone for public service in Edo State where commitment is valued and excellence is rewarded.
