Edo State Governor Breaks Ground for 100MW Power Plant and LNG Processing Plant

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has performed the groundbreaking ceremony for a 100MW Power Plant and an LNG Processing Plant in Edo State, marking a significant milestone in the state’s pursuit of energy independence and industrial development.

In a statement posted on his verified X (formerly Twitter) handle, the Governor emphasized the crucial role of power in driving development.

“Power is the backbone of development, and our administration is committed to building the infrastructure that will attract investors, create jobs, and grow our economy,” he said.

The Governor expressed confidence that the project would catalyze economic growth, citing the confidence investors have shown in Edo State’s business-friendly environment.

“This project reflects the confidence investors have in Edo State and the business-friendly environment we are creating,” he added.

Governor Okpebholo assured that his administration would continue to support investments that bring opportunity, prosperity, and sustainable development to the people.

The project is expected to create jobs, stimulate economic activity, and contribute to Edo State’s energy security.
