NARC Hosts 72nd Lecture on Fiscal Reforms and National Security

The Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC) held its 72nd Monthly Lecture Series on Thursday, 29 January 2026, in Abuja, focusing on fiscal reforms and national security.

Professor Taiwo Oyedele, Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal and Tax Reforms, delivered a lecture titled “Reforming Nigeria’s Fiscal Regime as an Element in National Economic Rebirth: Implications for National Security”.

The event, attended by senior military officers and representatives of security agencies, featured an interactive session where participants discussed recently implemented tax policies.

The Director General of NARC, Major General JGK Myam (Rtd) OFR, encouraged attendees to engage with the presentation, while the representative of the Chief of Army Staff, Major General SD Makolo, praised the lecture and expressed hope for future engagements.

The Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC) hosts monthly lecture series to discuss issues relevant to national development and security. The 72nd edition focused on fiscal reforms and their implications for national security, highlighting the importance of economic policies in maintaining stability and security in Nigeria.
