Nigerian Ports Authority to Co-Host UAE-Nigeria Investment Summit

By Danjuma Amodu | February 1, 2026

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) is set to co-host a landmark investment summit with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Lagos on February 2, 2026. The event, themed “Infrastructure and Logistics for Africa’s Next Phase of Trade,” will bring together top government officials, investors, and industry leaders to strengthen bilateral ties and drive investments in key sectors.

Dr. Abu Dantsoho, Managing Director of the NPA, will join Mohamed Almenhali, Regional CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports Group, to discuss enhancements to ports, trade corridors, and digital infrastructure to position Nigeria as West Africa’s leading trade gateway.

The summit is a direct result of President Tinubu’s recent visit to the UAE, where Nigeria and the UAE signed a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) to deepen cooperation in renewable energy, infrastructure, logistics, and digital trade.

Notable speakers include Dr. Jean Fares, CEO of Investopia; H.E. Dr. Olawale Edun, Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning; and H.E. Mohamed H. Alsuwaidi, UAE Minister of Investment and Executive Chairman of Lunate.

The event aims to attract global investors, drive sustainable economic growth, and promote regional integration. The NPA remains committed to advancing efficient, competitive, and sustainable port operations.
