Nigeria’s Interior Ministry Pledges to Enhance Collaboration with Information Ministry on Reforms Communication

The Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with the Ministry of Information and National Orientation to improve public communication of government reforms.

Speaking during a meeting with the Minister of Information, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, in Abuja, Dr. Tunji-Ojo highlighted key reforms under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that the transformative initiatives aim to restore dignity to Nigerian citizenship, ease daily life for citizens, strengthen border security, reduce criminal exploitation of processes, and project a modern, positive image of Nigeria globally.

Both Ministers agreed to enhance strategic communication to ensure that Nigeria’s governance reforms, security improvements, and development initiatives are effectively communicated to Nigerians and the international community.

The meeting aimed to align their efforts in showcasing the progress of Nigeria’s reforms and development initiatives. The Minister of Interior emphasized the importance of effective communication in achieving the government’s goals, while the Minister of Information assured of his ministry’s commitment to supporting the efforts.

The collaboration is expected to improve public awareness and understanding of the government’s reforms, promote transparency and accountability, and enhance Nigeria’s image globally.
