PAAU Graduates 44 First-Class Students as Senate Withdraws 56, Expels One Over Exam Misconduct

The Senate of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, has approved the second semester results for the 2025/2026 academic session, graduating 44 students with First-Class Honours.

The Senate also approved the withdrawal of 56 students for poor academic performance, failure to register for two consecutive semesters and course deficiencies, while one student was expelled for gross examination misconduct.

The decisions were taken at the 168th Regular Meeting of the Senate held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, following consideration of results across faculties and departments.

According to the University, the 44 First-Class graduands cut across Agriculture, Forestry, Food Nutrition and Home Sciences, Computer Science, Physiology, Economics, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Anatomy, Animal and Environmental Biology, Plant Sciences and Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Accounting, Arabic and Islamic Studies, Public Administration, Business Administration and Banking and Finance.

The Senate, in approving the results, also considered the report of the Results Verification Committee on the academic standing of students.

Of the 56 students withdrawn, 11 were withdrawn for poor academic performance, 38 for failure to register for two consecutive semesters, and seven for failed modules and course deficiencies in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science.

Those withdrawn for poor academic performance include Muhammed Nafiu (Arts Education), Alidu Hassan (Arts Education), Muhammed Lawal (Arts Education), Udeh Miracle OjoChegbe (Physics), Usman Abdulsamad (Physics), Tairu Aliyu Ogwuba (Physics), Emeka Dorcas Enyo-Ojo (Basic Medical Sciences), Mohammed Aminu (Agric. Economics and Extension), Enejo Salisu (Social Science Education), Edicha Aisha (Food, Nutrition and Home Sciences) and Onoja Raymond Abah (Food, Nutrition and Home Sciences).

The 38 students withdrawn for failure to register for two consecutive semesters include Audu Fadilah Favour (Arts Education), Muktari Senusi (Arts Education), Egwu Elias Ojoajogwu (Arts Education), Isaac Calvary UgbedoOjo (Arts Education), Alfa Stella Anibe (Arts Education), Muhammed Abdulhafiz (Arts Education), Moses Blessing OjoneKeche (Accounting), Adam Fauzia Ojonichenmi (Accounting), Alfa Praise OjoChegbe (Physics), Dada Omolara Lydia (Forestry and Wildlife), Amedu Chubiyojo Sunday (Forestry and Wildlife), Ujah Theophilus Godswill (Theatre Arts), Olatoke Ayomide George (Theatre Arts), Abah Fredrick Eleojo (Law), Omachi Raymond (Law), Nuhu Christiana Blessing (Law), Abuh Umi Sumayya (Animal Production), Samuel Blessing Nkirukah (Animal Production), Abdulqadr Shehu Tawfeeq (Arabic and Islamic Studies), Micheal Gideon Omotayo (Social Science Education), Ibrahim Maji Abdulsalam (Social Science Education), Zekeri Sadam (Social Science Education), Yukubu Abdulrahman (Social Science Education), Adejoh Ezekiel (Social Science Education), Musa Seidu Baba (Social Science Education), Ibrahim Muhammed Awal (Social Science Education), Richard Desmond (Social Science Education), Shaibu Salifu (Food, Nutrition and Home Sciences), Shaibu Haliretu (Physics), Yahaya Suleiman (Physics), Isah Abdulrazaq (Animal and Environmental Biology), Haruna Hope Ann (Animal and Environmental Biology), Egwu James Uche (Animal and Environmental Biology), Iortyer Terungwa Mark (Animal and Environmental Biology), Gabriel OChoechi (Animal and Environmental Biology), Musa Jibrin (Anatomy), Saka Abdulmumuni Adavize (Anatomy) and Momodu Hassan (Accounting).

The seven students withdrawn for course deficiencies are Destiny Ojone Akwu, Sediq Ayuba, Ochijenu Ojochide Favour, Bethel Ojonuma Samuel, Shadrach Emmanuel, Ibrahim Hamtila and Christopher OjimaOjo Omale, all of Medical Laboratory Science.

In a related development, the Senate considered the report of the Examination Misconduct Committee and approved the expulsion of Mr. Jude Ojoajogwu Itodo, Matriculation No. 26PL1068, of the Department of Plant Sciences and Biotechnology, for gross examination misconduct.

The Vice-Chancellor and Chairman of Senate, Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman, commended the Results Verification Committee and the Examination Misconduct Committee for their diligence and commitment to upholding academic standards.

Prof. Usman congratulated the 44 First-Class graduands for their hard work, discipline and outstanding performance, describing their achievement as inspirational and urging them to remain worthy ambassadors of the University.

He reiterated the determination of Senate and University Management to sustain academic excellence, discipline and quality assurance, stressing that while the University would continue to provide a conducive environment for teaching and learning, students must demonstrate commitment and comply with extant academic regulations.

Meanwhile, the withdrawn and expelled students have been directed to surrender all University property in their possession, including identity cards and other official items, to the Security Unit before exiting the University.
