PAAU VC Appoints New PRO and Technical Assistant

The Vice-Chancellor of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, has announced the appointment of Mrs. Uredo Omale as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the university, with immediate effect.

Mrs. Omale, a seasoned communications professional, brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served as Director of Public Relations and Protocol at Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, for six years. Her expertise includes strategic media engagement, crisis communication, and event management, which earned her a Distinguished Service Award for her impactful service.

In a letter signed by the University Registrar, Barr. Yahaya Segun Alilu, PhD, Mrs. Omale is expected to promote PAAU’s image and reputation through strategic media and public engagement, leveraging her experience to build relationships with media professionals and coordinate external relations and protocol services in the Office of the Vice-Chancellor.

In a related development, Professor Usman has appointed Babaniyi Power Ayo-Olowasimi, a technology innovator and digital systems specialist, as Technical Assistant.

Babaniyi, who previously served as Head of the MIS Unit and Head of the Data Management Unit at PAAU, will support the Vice-Chancellor in advancing strategic ICT initiatives and strengthening the university’s digital infrastructure.

Both appointments are expected to contribute to PAAU’s growth and development, with Mrs. Omale poise to projects the university’s image and reputation, and Mr. Babaniyi driving innovation and technological advancements.
