PAAU VC Pledges Support for Faculty of Agriculture

The Vice-Chancellor of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to staff welfare, infrastructural development, and academic advancement during a visit to the Faculty of Agriculture.

Accompanied by senior University officials, Prof. Usman described the Faculty as a “solid and strategic academic faculty” of PAAU, highlighting its growth since its establishment in 2000.

According to a report on the Facebook page of Abdulkadir Bin Abdulmalik, the Vice-Chancellor commended the Faculty for maintaining its physical structures and stressed the importance of networking and collaboration to attract research grants, citing agriculture and technology’s growing relevance.

Ogbo disclosed plans to establish institutional retainership arrangements with reputable publishing outlets to enable staff to publish in high-impact journals and build a robust alumni association.

Prof. Usman assured staff of his determination to advance the institution and called for synergy among academic units.

“Leadershipp is temporary while posterity remains a fair judge of service and impact.” He said.

The Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. A.E. Agahiu highlighted challenges facing the Faculty to include inadequate staffing, classroom shortages, and water supply difficulties, expressing confidence in Prof. Usman’s leadership.
