The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation for Being Human and the Foundation for the Less Privileged, Engineer Dr. Ambassador Khadija Kuburat Ibrahim, has extended heartfelt congratulations to key stakeholders on the successful flag-off of a 2-megawatt solar mini-grid and the commissioning of 200 solar-powered streetlights at Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil, Kano State.
In a statement issued on Friday, Dr. Khadija Ibrahim commended the Director-General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, Dr Mustapha Abdullahi, and the Honourable Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, SAN, for facilitating the projects aimed at improving energy access within the institution.

She noted that the initiatives, executed through the Energy Commission of Nigeria, would significantly enhance learning, research, and overall safety on campus.
According to her, the solar mini-grid is expected to boost academic productivity, while the installation of solar-powered streetlights will improve security and extend productive hours for students and staff.
Dr. Khadija Ibrahim also congratulated Dr Mustapha Abdullahi on his recognition with an Outstanding Award by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai, as well as the renaming of the Engineering Faculty Complex in his honour.
She described Dr Abdullahi as a mentor and exemplary public servant whose contributions continue to inspire many.

The NGO founder further prayed for Allah’s guidance and strength for him to attain greater achievements in service to the nation.
Dr. Khadija Ibrahim equally extended congratulations to the Emir of Gaya, Alhaji Aliyu Abdulkadir; the Vice-Chancellor of the university; the Director-General of SHESTCO, Dr Magaji Da’u Aliyu; and other partners involved in the project.
She also lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for supporting initiatives that promote sustainable energy development across Nigeria.
