I’ve watched series of videos of Wike’s Ego Carnival in Rivers State. He moves around like a man who thinks he knows better than the God who created him..he never hides his boastful nature of being the decider of his People’s fate,forgetting there is” Someone” up there with the tape of our lives and remote of our Fate”The Almighty God”.
As a political scientist,I know power mostly is not given but taken but in taking it..you must consider the place of Karma..that’s where we have the Yoruba adage which says” Iku yepere loun pa akinkoju” meaning..”The Mighty ones dies easily”. This assumption is subjective, it all depends on the roads to greatness..if it’s rough or taken roughly,it is most likely the same rough path will be taken down. Wike have seen it all..except for the Presidency.
Instead of putting his actions in check for the inevitable..cause no man lasts in power forever, he is busy dancing to the claps from his team of audience whose main targets are what to get from him and not about his wellbeing. One prominent person amongst them is Mr. Lere Olayinka . As an elderly man with grey hairs to show for it..he is expected to advice him..but Uncle is busy clapping as long as the crumbs are flowing.
Every leader must check their circle,start getting worried if all those you surround yourself with are people who thinks you are #ALWAYS #RIGHT..it’s a pure sign that you are surrounded by #Sycophants and not #Loyalists. A loyal person will risk telling you what will keep you up there..even if it sounds disrespectful in your ears. Wike might be enjoying the clap from the audience,but I can guarantee you that if Rivers are allowed to vote in a free and fair Election today,Wike won’t have his way.
From the Videos and pictures we’ve seen,Wike is already grooming his son to take over from him..assumably; because he thinks he is the Emperor of Rivers State. He has forgotten so soon that some were there before him and some will still take over from him.
In one of his videos,he compared Rivers to Lagos,he has forgotten Tinubu was operating based on the language and dictate of the grassroot political actors and was not lousy with his political moves. Ambode was alleged to be engaging contractors from outside lagos and that infuriated the lagosians..has he forgotten also that same Tinubu almost removed Fashola but had to bow to voices of reasoning..and retained him there?. That moment alone could have lead to his lose of Lagos political grip.
I think it is time the Wife,family and even children call on their father to stop acting God..or he might see God putting him to check.
Infact,Wike should reshuffle his circle..or he would continue to be deceived until they tell him that dancing naked in the market is not madness as far as the idea is coming from him.
