The National Coordinator, Project 774 Network, Alhaji Muhammed Ibrahim, has commended the Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, for commencing early preparations for the 2027 Hajj exercise.
In a statement in Abuja, Alhaji Muhammed Ibrahim described the early planning as a positive step towards ensuring a smooth, efficient and improved Hajj experience for Nigerian pilgrims.
He applauded the NAHCON Chairman for his leadership, commitment and efforts towards repositioning the Commission and improving the standard of Hajj operations in line with global best practices.
Alhaji Ibrahim also urged political office holders and public officials to always put Nigeria’s national interest above personal and sectional interests, stressing the need for collective commitment to national development.
He said Nigeria could only meet up with global standards when leaders and institutions embrace professionalism, accountability, innovation and service to the people.
The National Coordinator further encouraged NAHCON to sustain its early preparations and continue to engage relevant stakeholders to address challenges that may affect Nigerian pilgrims before and during the 2027 Hajj.
He expressed optimism that sustained reforms and proper planning would further enhance Nigeria’s standing in the global Hajj community.
