APC’s Bwari Mobilisation Chief Issues Battle Cry: “No Retreat — We Occupy, We Win” Ahead of 21 Feb Poll

With just weeks remaining before the 21 February 2026 Bwari Local Government election, Comrade Yusufu Ogwu, APC’s Contact and Mobilisation Director for Bwari, has sounded a clarion call to party loyalists: “APC must mobilise. APC must occupy. APC must win Bwari. No retreat. No excuses.”

At a rousing mobilisation rally in Bwari town on Monday, Comrade Ogwu, a veteran grassroots organiser known for his hands-on, street-level approach, laid out a gritty, no-nonsense plan to secure victory for the All Progressives Congress.

He opened by thanking APC National Chairman Alhaji Aliyu Tanko Shere for placing trust in the party’s grassroots machinery, the true engine of every election and expressed deep gratitude to Bwari’s APC flagbearer, Hon. Audi Haruna Shekwolo, for entrusting him with this critical role.

“I am honoured, humbled, and fully committed,” Ogwu declared. “I pledge unwavering loyalty, discipline, and total alignment with Hon. Shekwolo’s leadership and vision for Bwari.”

But his tone quickly hardened as he turned to analysis. The APC’s setbacks in the last presidential election were not accidental, he said firmly. They resulted from weak grassroots penetration, poor voter turnout, inadequate polling unit control, and failure to aggressively counter hostile narratives.

His verdict was blunt. Elections are won and defended at the polling unit level.

“We will construct an iron-clad mobilisation apparatus,” Ogwu announced. Ward by ward, polling unit by polling unit, led by commanded ward coordinators, battle-ready polling-unit captains, street commanders, and disciplined volunteer foot soldiers, every polling unit must be mapped, occupied, controlled, and defended electorally.

“APC must reclaim the grassroots,” he urged. Reconnect with the people, traders, youths, women, artisans, students, and traditional and religious leaders through direct, face-to-face engagement.

The campaign message, he stressed, must be sharp, unified, and rooted in local priorities: better roads, enhanced security, improved sanitation, accessible healthcare, quality education, and meaningful youth economic empowerment. APC delivers governance — not slogans.

On voter turnout, the decisive battlefield, he demanded early and aggressive GOTV operations, meticulous voter tracking, and sustained mobilisation until the final vote is cast and secured.

He also called for dominance in the narrative space. APC must dismantle misinformation, convert online energy into physical votes, and ensure every supporter turns up, not just likes or shares.

In closing, Ogwu issued a stern warning: disunity is sabotage. Only discipline, loyalty, coordination, and total unity behind Hon. Audi Haruna Shekwolo will guarantee victory in Bwari Area Council.

His rallying cry reverberated across the crowd.

“APC must mobilise.
APC must occupy.
APC must win Bwari.
No retreat.
No excuses.” He declared.

The 21 February 2026 Bwari Local Government election is expected to be fiercely contested, with APC seeking to regain ground lost in recent local polls. Comrade Yusufu Ogwu is widely regarded as one of APC’s most effective grassroots organisers in Abuja’s peri-urban areas.

Hon. Audi Haruna Shekwolo has been endorsed by APC as its candidate for Bwari LG Chairman, and our candidate, Audi Haruna Shekwolo, must win, APC must win. Bwari is better to align with the national leadership than being opposition that are disintegrating. He concluded.
