Ustaz Sulaiman Dansoho, Kogi State Chairman of NACOMYO

The Kogi State Chairman of the National Council of Muslim Youth Organisations, NACOMYO, Ustaz Sulaiman Dansoho, has called on Muslims in the state to use this year’s Moulid an-Nabiyy celebration to emulate the exemplary character and teachings of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
Ustaz Dansoho made the call in a statement issued in Lokoja, saying the occasion should serve as a reminder of the Prophet’s virtues of truthfulness, justice, mercy and service to humanity.
He urged politicians in Kogi State to draw lessons from the life and teachings of the Prophet as the 2027 general elections approach, stressing the need to prioritise peace, unity and accountability over personal interests.
The NACOMYO Chairman also admonished Muslim youths to shun violence, hate speech, thuggery and drug abuse, and to become ambassadors of peace in their communities.
“Moulid is not merely a time for celebration, but an opportunity for Muslims to reflect on the Prophet’s legacy and put his teachings into practice,” he said.
Ustaz Dansoho called on political leaders and other citizens to imbibe the values of honesty, compassion and selfless service as the state prepares for future elections.
He further charged Muslim youths to use the spirit of Moulid to promote unity and contribute positively to the development of Kogi State.
The NACOMYO Chairman prayed for peace and progress in Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
