Olamaboro APC Primary Winners, Aspirants Unite in Abuja Strategy Meeting

Unity and forward planning took centre stage in Olamaboro politics on Sunday as APC leaders who won party primaries and other aspirants converged in Abuja to harmonise strategy ahead of the 2027 elections.

The meeting held at the Abuja residence of Chief Erico Ameh, APC Kogi East Senatorial candidate and leader of Olamaboro APC. He received Hon. Sani Idoko, APC candidate for Ogugu State Constituency, who was led in by Rotaract Hon. Achor Emmanuel, APC chairmanship candidate for Olamaboro Local Government.

The convergence was notable for bringing together both confirmed APC flag-bearers and aspirants under one roof. Party stakeholders said the move signals a deliberate effort to prioritise cohesion and collective progress for Olamaboro LGA, with headquarters at Okpo and popularly called the “Palmland”.

The local government is currently led by Hon. Williams Ameh, who serves as Chairman. Olamaboro is also home to Chief Edward Onojah, former Deputy Governor of Kogi State. He currently serves as a Board Member of the South East Development Commission (SEDC), representing the North Central geopolitical zone, whose presence continues to shape political direction in the area.

Observers note that early alignment between primary winners and other aspirants reduces the risk of post-primary divisions that have historically affected APC fortunes in Kogi East. The coming together of senatorial, state constituency and local government candidates was seen as a step toward presenting a united front for the area.
