The Executive Chairman of Qua’an-Pan Local Government Council in Plateau State, Hon. Christopher Audu Manship, has received the second-highest meritorious award at the 2026 Nigerian Local Government Excellence Awards, LOGEXA, held in Abuja.
The award ceremony, organised by The Medals Magazine, recognised outstanding local government leaders for excellence, integrity, commitment and impactful grassroots administration.
Hon. Manship was honoured alongside other distinguished council chairmen from Lagos, Enugu, Kwara, Kaduna, Oyo, Taraba and Imo states for their contributions to improving the lives of citizens at the grassroots.
The recognition marks his second national award and highlights his administration’s efforts in delivering people-oriented projects and reforms since assuming office on 9 June 2023.
Among the achievements cited are the completion of more than 18 projects across Qua’an-Pan LGA, including the equipping of science laboratories, payment of scholarships, and support for candidates who scored above 250 in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board examination.
The council chairman was also commended for youth and women empowerment initiatives, improved workers’ welfare and efforts to strengthen peace and security in the area.
Residents of Qua’an-Pan have continued to testify to improved security in communities previously affected by criminal activities, with many attributing the development to the administration’s commitment to restoring peace and confidence.
Speaking after receiving the award, Hon. Manship dedicated the honour to the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, for his support and leadership vision, as well as to the people of Qua’an-Pan LGA for their cooperation and trust.
“This award is not a destination but a call to greater service. It will further motivate my administration to continue delivering projects and programmes that improve the wellbeing of our people.”
— Hon. Christopher Audu Manship, Chairman, Qua’an-Pan LGA
He added that the recognition would further motivate his administration to sustain efforts towards building a more prosperous and inclusive Qua’an-Pan.
