Wives of the Governors of Kebbi, Kano, Zamfara, Jigawa and Kaduna States on Friday joined their Katsina counterpart for the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) food distribution programme in Katsina State.
The food outreach, an initiative of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, is aimed at supporting vulnerable households, women and families across the country to cushion the effects of current economic challenges.

The visiting First Ladies were received at the distribution venue in Katsina by the wife of the Katsina State Governor, Hajiya Zulaihat Dikko Radda, who led them to inspect and flag off the distribution of food items to beneficiaries drawn from across the 34 local government areas of the state.
The exercise featured the distribution of bags of rice, beans, and other essential food commodities to hundreds of women, widows, persons with disabilities and low-income households.
Speaking at the event, Hajiya Radda said the intervention was a demonstration of the compassion and commitment of the First Lady, Senator Tinubu, to ensure that no family goes hungry, noting that the RHI food programme has continued to reach the most vulnerable in Katsina.
