President Bola Ahmed Tinubu today declared Nigeria will host the inaugural Investopia Africa 2025, the United Arab Emirates’ flagship global investment summit at Eko Atlantic City, Lagos, in February marking it, the first time Investopia expands beyond Asia, Europe, and the Americas to Africa.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, speaking after witnessing the signing of the Nigeria-United Arab Emirates Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) in Abu Dhabi during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, announced that Nigeria has been selected as the host country for Investopia Africa 2025, the UAE’s premier investment platform founded in 2021 under the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and UAE Minister of Economy H.E. Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri.

“This milestone underscores President Tinubu’s bold economic reforms and Nigeria’s transformation into a stable, transparent, and high-growth economy,” said Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole.

“Hosting Investopia Africa 2025 is a testament to our commitment to attracting global investment and positioning Nigeria as Africa’s gateway for international capital.” She added.

Investopia Africa 2025 is projected to attract thousands of delegates, including over 100 high-profile speakers and more than 1,600 C-suite executives and senior decision-makers from over 20 countries. The summit will spotlight Nigeria’s burgeoning opportunities across energy, agriculture, fintech, artificial intelligence, healthcare, infrastructure, and more.

H.E. Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri emphasised that
“Africa is a key trade and investment partner for the UAE. Investopia’s expansion to the continent reflects our commitment to connecting investors with Africa’s fastest-growing markets. Investopia Nigeria will unlock promising economic opportunities for both Emirati and African private sectors.”

Eko Atlantic City, Nigeria’s pioneering smart city built on reclaimed land off Victoria Island, will serve as the perfect backdrop for this historic gathering. With world-class infrastructure, cutting-edge technology, and a thriving business ecosystem, Eko Atlantic City is poised to become Africa’s premier investment destination.

President Tinubu welcomed the partnership with confidence:
“Nigeria is open for business. Our administration is committed to creating an enabling environment for investors. Hosting Investopia Africa 2025 is not just an event. It is a statement that Nigeria is ready to lead Africa into a new era of prosperity.”

In Abu Dhabi, President Tinubu also witnessed the signing of the Nigeria-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement — a landmark deal resulting from months of disciplined negotiations led by Minister Dr. Jumoke Oduwole and UAE Minister Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi.

“This agreement opens duty-free access for thousands of Nigerian products into the UAE, expands opportunities for our exporters, manufacturers, and service providers, and gives UAE investors clearer confidence to back Nigeria’s productive economy,” Tinubu said.

He added that.
“This comprehensive agreement supports our industrialisation and diversification goals and strengthens Nigeria’s position as a gateway for trade and investment into Africa. This is the work of economic reform, purposeful engagement, and measured partnerships. The outcomes will serve Nigeria’s long-term national interest.”

The President concluded.
“May the renewed relationship between Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates continue to yield sustained dividends for both nations and our peoples.”
