Ex-Labour Candidate Gabaidu Resigned From Party, Fuel Speculation Over Next Move

Abdulmalik Sani, the Labour Party candidate for the Olamaboro State Constituency in Kogi State’s last general election, has resigned from the party.

Sani, popularly known as Gabaidu, announced his decision to leave the Labour Party during a press conference in Imane, Kogi State, citing extensive consultations with political associates, supporters, and stakeholders across the constituency.

Addressing the media in imane, Kogi State, Sani explained that the move was necessary to enable him to pursue his political aspirations and continue serving the people of Olamaboro more effectively. He expressed gratitude to Labour Party members who supported him during the last general election, acknowledging their commitment and sacrifices.

Sani reassured his supporters that his decision would not affect his dedication to the development of the constituency, emphasizing his focus on promoting good governance, unity, and sustainable development for the people of the area. He did not disclose his next political affiliation.

The development is expected to reshape the political dynamics in Olamaboro constituency ahead of future elections, according to local political observers.
