The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) on Monday hosted the State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Bayelsa State, Mr Samuel Amaramiro Pepple, and his team on a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Content Tower in Yenagoa.
The NYSC delegation was received on behalf of the Board by the General Manager, Corporate Communications, Dr Obinna Ezeobi, and the Assistant Manager, Resourcing, Human Resources Division, Ms Blessing Okhiehe.
The visit sought to strengthen ties between both institutions and reaffirm their commitment to youth development, capacity building, and expanding opportunities for Nigerian graduates, particularly in the oil and gas industry.

Discussions focused on collaboration in skills acquisition and opportunities for corps members. This includes awareness and onboarding on the NOGIC Joint Qualification System (NOGIC JQS) and the NCDMB’s Oil and Gas Field Readiness Training Programme. Under the programme, the Board plans to train 10,000 young graduates and technicians in the top 10 high-demand skills in the Nigerian oil and gas sector.
Dr Ezeobi underscored the link between the mandates of the NCDMB and the NYSC, affirming the Board’s dedication to strategic partnerships that drive human capital development and sustainable growth in Nigeria’s energy industry. He also conveyed the NCDMB’s readiness to support the NYSC in delivering sustainable capacity-building initiatives that will contribute to national economic growth.
The visit builds on NCDMB’s existing youth-focused schemes, including its Project 100 and ICT training hubs, which have upskilled over 3,000 graduates across the Niger Delta since 2022.
Both parties agreed to consolidate their longstanding relationship with a mutual vision of empowering Nigerian youths and advancing national development.
