Minister says primaries reflect nationwide confidence in President’s leadership, promises sweeping victory in Kogi’s three senatorial districts
The Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his emergence as the presidential flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
Prince Audu, in a statement issued today, May 24, 2026, in Abuja by Lizzy Okoji, Special Assistant on Media to the Honourable Minister of Steel Development, described the outcome of the party primaries as peaceful and well-coordinated nationwide, adding that Tinubu’s endorsement reflects the confidence of Nigerians in his leadership and Renewed Hope Agenda.

The minister assured the president of an overwhelming victory in Kogi State, pledging massive support, mobilization and votes across the state’s three senatorial districts.
He also commended the APC leadership and members for conducting a transparent primary process, and urged Nigerians to back President Tinubu at the polls to guarantee a more prosperous, secure, and economically viable nation.
Prince Audu disclosed that he joined other party faithfuls to participate in the APC presidential primaries, casting his vote in his hometown of Ogbonicha Ward 1, where he said President Tinubu recorded zero opposition.
