Audu/Faleke Leadership Unifies to Drive Tinubu’s 2027 Bid, Apc Victory In Kogi

By Danjuma Amodu

In a strategic move to strengthen the All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of the 2027 general elections, leaders of the Audu/Faleke political family in Kogi State met in Abuja on Sunday to consolidate their structures and mobilize total support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

This was disclosed in a statement by Umar Isah, Head of Media, Audu/Faleke Political Family, Kogi State, issued at the end of the meeting.

The meeting, described as a convergence of the state’s most influential political bloc, had in attendance the Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu; Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, Leader of the Audu/Faleke political family in Kogi State and Head of the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Re-election Structure; Prof. Daniel Isa, former Director-General of the Audu/Faleke Campaign Council in 2015; and Hon. Emmanuel Ekele, a respected stakeholder from Kogi East.

At the core of the deliberations was a resolution to present a united front, reconcile with all loyal members, and welcome back those willing to return in order to expand the party’s base across Kogi East, Kogi West and Kogi Central. The leaders also agreed to immediately activate a broad-based grassroots mobilisation structure to drive voter sensitization, registration and turnout for the APC and its candidates in 2027.

The Audu/Faleke alignment dates back to the 2015 Kogi governorship election when the late Prince Abubakar Audu and Rt. Hon. James Faleke ran on a joint ticket that galvanized massive support across the state before Audu’s sudden death. Since then, the political family has remained a dominant force in Kogi politics, with its leaders and loyalists playing key roles in national and state elections. The sons of the bloc, led by Prince Shuaibu Audu and coordinated politically by Faleke, are now consolidating that legacy into a grassroots movement aimed at expanding acceptance for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and ensuring the President’s re-election bid enjoys overwhelming support in Kogi.

Rt. Hon. Faleke commended the Minister of Steel Development for his commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly his efforts toward the revitalization of the Ajaokuta Steel Company, which he described as a critical national asset for industrial growth and job creation. In his remarks, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu pledged to sustain the legacy of his late father by continuing to work for the progress of Kogi State and its integration into a prosperous Nigeria.

The meeting ended with a strong declaration that Kogi State remains firmly behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
