The Bauchi State government has unveiled the logo marking its 50th anniversary, kicking off a series of events to commemorate the milestone.
The ceremony took place at the Government House in Bauchi amidst cultural programmes, traditional festivities, and the iconic Durbar.
In his remarks, the governor emphasised the significance of the golden jubilee, calling it a moment for reflection, renewal, and collective responsibility towards building a stronger Bauchi State.
He urged citizens to reaffirm their commitment to unity, peace, and development, working together for a prosperous future.
Bauchi State was created on February 3, 1976, from the former North-Eastern State, and has a rich history dating back to the 1805 Bauchi Emirate founded by Yaqub ibn Dadi.
The state is known for its cultural heritage, with over 55 ethnic groups, and is home to Yankari National Park, a major tourist attraction.
