AFC Bournemouth has made waves in the transfer market, selling five key players in just six months and raking in a staggering £252 million. The players, originally costing £84 million, were sold to various clubs, including Manchester City, Bayer Leverkusen, and Red Star Belgrade.
The sold players include Antoine Semenyo, who joined Manchester City for £64 million; Amine Adli, who moved to Bayer Leverkusen for £25 million; Veljko Milosavljevic, who joined Red Star Belgrade for £13 million; Fraser Forster, who signed with Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer; and Alex Tóth, who joined Ferencváros for £10.4 million.
This impressive sales figure is a testament to Bournemouth’s elite scouting and high-level business model. The club has strategically invested in players, nurturing their talents before selling them at a significant profit.
Bournemouth is set to face Liverpool at home today at 17:30 GMT at the Vitality Stadium. They’re currently 15th in the Premier League table with 27 points, having played 22 matches.
The team has been dealing with injuries, including Enes Unal, Justin Kluivert, and Ryan Christie, which might impact their performance. They are looking to strengthen their squad, with targets including Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta and Sassuolo’s Andrea Pinamonti.
