The Federal Government has proposed a harmonised timetable for the 2027 examinations, fixing the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for March 2027 and targeting August 2027 for the release of results of NECO, WAEC, NABTEB and NBAIS to enable admission by September.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) disclosed the proposed schedule on its social media platforms on Thursday.
According to the proposal, the UTME will hold from March 15 to 25, 2027, followed by the National Examinations Council (NECO) Senior School Certificate Examination from April 1 to May 14.
The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) is scheduled for May 11 to June 18.

The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) examination is slated for June 1 to July 5, while the National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS) examination will run from June 10 to July 9.
JAMB said the Federal Government was working with examination bodies to align the 2027 timetable and ensure timely release of results.
“The Federal Government is working with examination bodies to align the 2027 examination timetable and ensure the timely release of results, enabling eligible candidates to begin tertiary admission processes by September 2027,” JAMB stated.
The Board said the initiative aims to minimise examination timetable clashes, improve coordination among examination bodies, ensure timely processing and release of results, and enable eligible candidates to commence tertiary admission processes by September 2027.
JAMB clarified that the dates remain proposed timelines and not confirmed final dates, urging candidates to follow official announcements from the respective examination bodies for updates.
