The National Association of Olamaboro Students, NAOS, has celebrated Salifu Eyiojotule Daniel, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of AquaProX Africa, for representing Nigeria at the Global Blue Food Innovation Summit in London.

Daniel was the only African founder selected to pitch at the summit, one of the world’s leading forums on aquaculture, seafood innovation, blue economy development, investment, and sustainable food systems.

Competing against top innovators worldwide, his startup, AquaProX AI, clinched First Runner-Up out of seven global startups in the audience vote, missing the top spot by just two votes.

The achievement, NAOS said, is a source of pride for Olamaboro Local Government Area, Kogi State, and Nigeria at large. It proves young Nigerians have the talent and innovation to compete globally, the association noted.

“This remarkable achievement demonstrates that young Nigerians possess the talent, innovation, and capacity to compete successfully on the global stage.” — National Executive Council, NAOS*

Beyond the summit, Daniel joined a two-week aquaculture and innovation tour across the United Kingdom. He visited leading institutions and companies including the University of Stirling Institute of Aquaculture, BioMar, Bakkafrost Scotland, Cooke Aquaculture, ChalkStream Foods, Forth Marine Hatchery, and Heriot-Watt University’s National Robotarium.

NAOS commended his work in advancing aquaculture, youth empowerment, technology innovation, and sustainable development through AquaProX Africa. The association said his journey inspires students and young people across Olamaboro, showing that vision and hard work can earn global recognition.

The National Executive Council of NAOS congratulated Daniel and wished him continued success as he projects the image of Olamaboro, Kogi State, and Nigeria positively worldwide.
