Ododo-Oyibo Administration Sets Benchmark for Progressive Governance in Kogi

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Kogi State, Hon. Shuaibu Musa, has applauded the Ododo-Oyibo administration for its visionary and people-driven approach, citing significant progress in infrastructure, education, and welfare-centric leadership that has repositioned the state for sustainable growth and inclusive development.

Addressing youth in Anyigba, Hon. Musa highlighted the administration’s commitment to purposeful leadership, grassroots engagement, and citizen welfare, noting it has emerged as a people-centric and one of the most impactful administrations in the state’s political history.

He expressed appreciation for the government’s unwavering support and developmental strides towards Kogi East, saying:

“The Ododo administration has demonstrated true democratic leadership anchored on equity, unity, and people-oriented policies not only in Kogi East but across the state.”

Hon. Musa urged the contractor handling the Dekina–Bassa road project to accelerate work, stressing its impact on transportation, economic activities, and living conditions.

He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to delivering critical infrastructure and strategic development projects, calling on Dekina residents to rally behind Governor Ododo’s administration.

He reiterated that the administration has implemented a ₦72,500 minimum wage, surpassing the federal benchmark, and improved workers’ living conditions.

He added that the state has introduced policies enhancing basic and secondary education, with a robust education budgetary allocation, leading to increased school enrollment and the establishment of two accredited state-owned universities.

According to Hon. Musa, the administration has invested ₦7 billion in revitalizing 88 Primary Healthcare Centres and launched a Health Insurance Programme for vulnerable populations. The Kogi Youth Empowerment and Skill Acquisition Programme has trained 250 young people, with over 70% now gainfully employed.

Hon. Musa concluded that the success of the Ododo-Oyibo administration is a collective responsibility, urging party loyalists, stakeholders, youth groups, and community leaders to maintain solidarity and commitment to the government’s developmental agenda.
