The Kogi State Chapter of the CityBoy Movement (CBM) is set for its One-Day Town Hall Meeting, Inauguration and Membership Drive slated for Saturday, September 19, 2026, as mobilisation intensifies across the state.

The State Director of the movement, Hon. Ogah Mark, who lauded the ICT team for their dedication and hard work towards the ongoing registration exercise, disclosed that Kogi has recorded 35,211 registered members as of the time of filing this report, making it the second state with the highest number of registered members in the North Central zone.

Similarly, ahead of the event, the Kogi State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security and Patron of the CityBoy Movement in Ibaji LGA, Rt. Hon. Timothy Ojomah, paid a courtesy visit to the CBM State Secretariat in Lokoja on Wednesday to assess the movement’s readiness for the epic event.

The Commissioner was accompanied by the CBM Coordinator, Ibaji LGA, Hon. Jerry Marcel.

During the visit, Ojomah commended Hon. Ogah Mark for the ongoing renovation of the State Secretariat and his leadership in piloting the affairs of the movement in the state.

He endorsed the forthcoming Town Hall Meeting and Inauguration, while charging the leadership to intensify its grassroots membership drive across the 21 local government areas.

The Commissioner also reaffirmed his support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

In his reaction to the visit, the State Director, Hon. Ogah Mark, who was unavoidably absent, said the visit was received on his behalf by the State Secretary, Hon. Atere Babatunde Samuel and other members of the State Executive.

He described the visit as beyond a physical inspection of the office, noting that it represents political alignment, leadership confidence and a shared commitment to taking the Renewed Hope agenda to the grassroots.

Mark added that Ojomah’s endorsement further strengthens the importance of the Town Hall as a platform for engagement, mobilisation and conversation around the progress and aspirations of Kogi State.

He stressed that as an indigene of Ibaji, the concerns of the people over roads, infrastructure and development must remain central to political engagement, and reaffirmed his commitment to using the CBM structure to mobilise support for President Tinubu, Governor Ododo and all APC candidates across the 21 local government areas.

According to the organisers, the Saturday event will bring together committed supporters, grassroots leaders and progressives united for a stronger political movement, describing it as a day of mobilisation, engagement, unity and renewed commitment to the political future of Kogi State and Nigeria.
