PDP Candidate Idoko Meets APC Chieftain Onoja in Cross-Party Consultation for Ogugu Development

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Ogugu State Constituency in the 2027 Kogi State House of Assembly election, Hon. Michael Samuel Idoko, has paid a consultation visit to former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward David Onoja, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The meeting marks what observers describe as a new approach to political engagement in the constituency, where leaders across party lines are prioritizing dialogue and collaboration for the common good.

In a notable demonstration of cross-party consultation, the PDP aspirant engaged the influential APC leader in discussions centered on the development, unity, and future of Ogugu State Constituency.

Idoko said the visit reflects a growing political ideology that places constituency interest above partisan division, aimed at harnessing experience and networks from all sides to deliver effective representation.

“Effective representation must go beyond rhetoric and translate into measurable impacts that positively affect the daily lives of our people.”
— Hon. Michael Samuel Idoko, PDP Candidate, Ogugu State Constituency

He described Chief Onoja as “an outstanding symbol of visionary leadership and steadfast dedication to public service,” and said the former Deputy Governor’s counsel will help shape his agenda for inclusive governance.

Idoko outlined his vision to include youth empowerment, women’s economic independence, infrastructural renewal, improved healthcare, quality education, and agricultural transformation. He added that the recent restoration of Ogugu State Constituency by INEC has renewed hope for accelerated development.

Chief Onoja received the PDP candidate and offered guidance on grassroots mobilization and legislative advocacy.

Idoko expressed optimism that with unity and purposeful leadership, Ogugu would emerge as an economically vibrant and politically influential constituency in Kogi State.
