At the ZLP National Convention, presidential flag bearer Chief Dan Nwanyawu accused the APC of mismanaging Nigeria’s diversity and promised sweeping audits, anti-corruption reforms, and a decentralized security system.
Chief Nwanyawu, who was presented as the party’s presidential flag bearer at the ZLP 2026 National Convention in Abuja, said that if elected, he would implement policies aimed at strengthening national unity.
He emphasised that his administration would promote inclusive governance to ensure that no one is left behind.
The presidential candidate accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of failing to effectively manage the nation’s diversity for rapid development.
Chief Nwanyawu also outlined other key priorities of his administration, including an aggressive fight against corruption.

According to him, his administration would audit financial transactions across the country to determine their legality.
He alleged that the ruling party had failed to tackle corruption, a situation he said had hindered the country’s socio-economic growth.
Chief Nwanyawu also promised to reform the nation’s security architecture by establishing state and community police to effectively address insecurity.

He attributed the country’s security challenges to a centralized policing system, noting that Nigeria is too large to be effectively policed under such an arrangement.
The ZLP presidential flag bearer urged Nigerians to remain united and exercise their franchise during the forthcoming general election.
