…APC leaders move from ward to ward in Kogi East to thank supporters and strengthen structures ahead of 2027 elections

The Kogi East APC thank-you tour has gained momentum with the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Comrade Joel Salifu, leading the party’s senatorial candidate and House of Representatives candidates on a grassroots mobilisation drive across the zone.
The tour, which commenced this week, features Kogi East APC senatorial candidate, Chief Dr. Joseph Ameh Erico, alongside Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims, candidate for Ankpa Federal Constituency; Hon. Paul Gowon Haruna, candidate for Dekina Federal Constituency; and Hon. Victor Uchola, candidate for Idah Federal Constituency.
The delegation is moving from community to community, ward to ward, and polling unit to polling unit to appreciate party members and stakeholders for their support. The team also includes former and serving National and State Assembly members, commissioners, local government chairmen, government appointees, APC stakeholders, coordinators, women and youth leaders, and thousands of party members.
According to organisers, the exercise goes beyond appreciation. It is designed as a strategic engagement to consult stakeholders, strengthen grassroots structures, consolidate political alliances and energise mobilisation networks ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during the tour, the leaders said the APC in Kogi East is focused on unity and organisation at the ward and polling-unit levels. They added that the tour is reinforcing the bond between government, party leadership and the grassroots while building momentum for the next electoral cycle.
From Ankpa to Dekina and Idah, party officials said the tour has recorded large turnouts and renewed commitment from members. They noted that the engagement is aimed at consolidating the party’s base and ensuring effective mobilisation across the nine local government areas in Kogi East.
The APC leadership in the zone said the objective is to maintain cohesion, expand stakeholder participation and position the party for victory in 2027.
